Getting faster at word puzzles rarely means typing quicker. It means wasting fewer guesses — and that comes from a clear method.
Front-load your information
Spend early guesses testing many common letters rather than chasing a win. The more you learn up front, the fewer possibilities remain when it's time to commit.
Read the whole board first
Before typing, scan every clue you already have. Most slow solves come from missing a clue that was already on screen — a yellow letter, a confirmed position, a ruled-out letter.
- Use a consistent opener you know well
- Track confirmed letters and positions deliberately
- List candidate answers before guessing
Speed is a by-product of good process. Tighten your method and the seconds take care of themselves.
